Check your transcript first
Several programmes (Bologna, Bergamo, Parma) count credits in the eight Italian psychology areas: general, physiological/biological, psychometrics, developmental, social, work & organizational, psychodynamic and clinical. Many Pakistani BS programmes treat industrial/organizational psychology as an elective. If it is missing from your transcript, some programmes will not accept you. Check this before paying any application fee.
Scholarships worth knowing
- Padua International Excellence Scholarship: €8,000 per year plus a fee waiver. There is no separate application: you are considered automatically when you apply to an English-taught programme. The 2027/28 call is due in November 2026.
- Regional DSU grants: income-based, and the most common scholarship for Pakistani students. Pakistan is not on Italy's 2026/27 list of "particularly poor countries", so you need family income and property documents from Pakistan, translated and legalised, for an ISEE parificato.
- Cattolica International Scholarship: lowers tuition to €6,400 per year.
- Not available to Pakistani citizens: the "Invest Your Talent in Italy" scholarship.
